SENTENCING and NOTICE OF APPEAL

Sentencing on the single count occurred on July 31. Terms and conditions are as follows:
- 30 days in the workhouse and a fine of $300 plus $75 court expenses, credit given for two days; 27 days are stayed for one year on the condition that no same or similar offense of disorderly conduct occurs, and 8 hours of community service is performed within 365 days.

The Notice of Appeal of the final count was submitted to the MN Court of Appeals on August 7 2007. The full court transcript has been ordered and should be available by mid September. The ACLU has expressed interest in the case, and is considering the writing of an amicus brief in support of our civil rights. Things are moving forward!

Stephen, have you actually read the Civil Rights Act?
Please read it and then tell me that your civil rights, bound by the civil rights act, were violated. Read it VERY carefully and then come back here and state which part/parts pertains to you.

The ACLU sees another chance to toot their own horn....
You will get nothing from this....

I,m on your side . The majority of people who are bound to 'serve and protect' seem to think their personal pride has something to do with their badge.Good luck on appeal too.

I was watching CNN yesterday and saw the video of a teen driver who had been harrassed a number of times by local police. Finally he got sick of it and caught a policeman who stopped him in his own video. The policeman made no bones that he would make up whatever he needed to make up to slam that guy down.

As I've read many of the comments on your blog now and again, I become disturbed by the possibility that some of the muttering detractors may well be policemen involved in your case. I would have no doubt that they could have made up whatever they wanted in their police reports just to "get you". It is clear that some of your detractors have that very sentiment in mind, and what would be their motivation unless, in fact, they were the policemen or friends of the policemen who you have shamed in public as their actions against you have now spread across the media, not only in the USA but also overseas.

You may be interested to learn that Officer Brad Wingate seems to show a pattern of harrassment of innocent people while serving in the line of duty:
